ABOUT SHEPPARDS DIY 

 

We stock the following sheet material: 

- MDF (2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 25mm) 

- Plywood (4mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm) 

- Chipboard (12mm, 15mm, 18mm) 

- OSB (11mm, 15mm, 18mm) 

- Hardboard (Plain, White faced, Ivory faced) 

- Sundela K (9mm) & Pinboard (9mm) 

- Pegboard (Plain, White faced) 

- Plasterboard (9mm 1200mm x 900mm & 12mm 1800mm x 900mm) 

 

We keep 2' x 2', 3' x 2', 4' x 2' & 4' x 3' pieces of the majority of these in stock in our timber room and have a number of boards nearby displaying the different sizes & thicknesses available. The largest sizes of these boards we keep in stock are 8' x 4', although these are kept in the back of our shop, which is a staff only area. If you wish to view these, please first speak to a member of staff. Additionally, we will often have smaller offcut pieces priced up in the timber room. 

 

We stock a wide range of 15mm melamine boarding at 8ft tall by either: 

6", 9", 12", 15", 18", 21", 24" 

Our available stock 15mm finishes are as follows: 

Matt White, Cashmere, Cool Grey, Lissa Oak 

Our available stock 18mm finishes are as follows: 

White Pearl, White Gloss (available with a 2mm PVC edging) 

These boards come 2800mm in length by either 152mm or 610mm 

 

We are also able to order in a wide range of 18mm boards. These are generally available to order within 1 - 2 working days. 

 

We offer a wide selection of timber, both sawn & PSE in a range of different lengths & sizes. In addition to this, we also stock skirting boards, architrave, window boards, T & G floorboards, pine, hardwood, oak mouldings + 

white primed architrave, skirting & window boards. 

 

 

We receive weekly deliveries, so if an item is out of stock, it should be available again soon. 

 

Towards the back of our timber room we have a number of worktop offcuts, ranging in size & texture. These will all be priced up individually by length & depth and available textures will regularly change, these worktops are sold as seen. 

 

Like the sheet material & melamine boards we sell, these worktops can be cut to size, although you will still need to pay for the full piece. 

 

Within the DIY section of our shop, we stock a large and varied selection of goods. These include hardware tools, power tools, electricals, plumbing, gardening, decorating, building sundries, door furniture, sealants & adhesives, sanding, drills, fixings (screws, nails, bolts etc.), cleaning, car accessories, odds & ends and much, much more! 

 

We try to cater for all of our customers and as such, supply both professional grade products and less expensive options for those who are just looking for a quick fix solution. If there is a particular item you need, but are unable to find it on one of our shelves, please check with a member of staff as we may be able to order it in. 

 

Another service we provide at Sheppards DIY is the rental of the Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machine. 

 

The Rug Doctor gives you the results of a professional carpet cleaner with their one pass cleaning system, so no repetitive back and forth motion is required. The secret is the Injection, Agitation and Extraction process. 

 

 

To rent the carpet cleaner, we will first require 2 forms of identification. One must show an image of the renter and the other must show the household address. Without these, we will be unable to rent this out to you. 

Secondly, we will require a £10 deposit at the point of rental. This will be refunded to you on the return of the machine, providing it is of the same standard as when you first rented it.
